Four days after their victory in friendly 2 goals to 1 on the Sudan team, Gabon’s team lost on the same score their second match against Cameroon.
Both selections are played on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at night at the Limbe Omnisports stadium to an audience that was not really many. After a first half ended with a score of parity zero goal everywhere, Cameroon and Gabon made the scoresheet in the second half.
Anatole Abang opened the scoring in the 65th minute for Cameroon. He concluded a free kick by captain Benjamin Moukandjo. Ten minutes later, another ball stopped allowed the Gabonese Romaric Rogombe to equalize. It’s towards the end that Sali Edgar handed victory to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon with an efficient lobe deceiving the goalkeeper Didier Ovono of Gabon.
This is the second victory in the new stadium in Limbe in the space of three days. The first with a score of 2 goals to 0, was on Saturday against Gambia in the playoffs for the AFCON 2017 Gabon. The Indomitable Lions will separate on Wednesday making an appointment next month for the start of the World Cup Russia 2018 qualifiers.
