The scene is worthy of a Cameroonian film script. Cameroonians equipped with pots of glue, brushes and posters, offered the pleasure to expose the flaws of their countries in the French political capital.
The rue d’Auteuil in Paris in the day of 28 August was flooded with posters on which one sees images of Marafa Hamidou Yaya and hostile messages to Mr. Biya, president of Cameroon.
Also in Paris, one can discover at the Porte d’Auteuil of the Auteuil district of 16eᵉ arrondissement of Paris, a large image of Marafa Hamidou Yaya on which one can read “Free Marafa,” ” No to a two-speed justice in Cameroon “, etc.
This Sunday, market day at the Rue Poussin adjacent to that of the Rue d’Auteuil where the Embassy of Cameroon is located in Paris, teams consisting of the Solidarity Action for Marafa were distributing anti Biya leaflets to passersby.
Meanwhile, another person was busy dressing the gates of that embassy with images of Marafa Hamidou Yaya, plus banners with harsh messages to the regime in power in Cameroon.
The unusual scene continued to attract the attention of passers-by, and some were active on their smart phone to capture the scene. Suddenly, the premises housing the Cameroon Embassy’s services to Paris turn into a tourist spot. Many tourists wondered about the content of the leaflets …
Posters appeared on the Embassy’s premises in France when another team of the ASMA decided to flood the same day the Embassy of Cameroon in Brussels with the same posters.
Also this Sunday, August 28, members of this association converged towards the Embassy of Cameroon in Brussels, Belgium to dump the leaflets. “Dear brothers and sisters, time is no longer at the speech, it is time for strong action! Stop being shy. Wherever you are, spread the word, ” as said in a discussion group on Facebook.
