Cameroon – Rio 2016: Volley ball Indomitable Lionesses beaten again, weightlifting ranked among the last!

In Rio de Janeiro, the women’s National Volleyball Team of Cameroon is jumping from one defeat to another. This Wednesday, August 10, 2016, the Indomitable Lionesses conceded their third defeats.

That was against the selection of Russia which finally imposed three sets to zero (25-19, 25-22 and 25-33). Since the start of this competition, the Cameroon national team have not won any set. They first lost against Brazil and Japan, on the same score of three sets to zero. Found in Group A of the first elimination round, the Cameroonian still have two matches to play, Friday, August 12 against Argentina and Sunday, August 14th against the Republic of Korea. Apart from a miracle, the under performance of the Indomitable Lionesses suggest that they can not reach the second round.

On Wednesday, the weightlifting competition began. With a dumbbell raised 187 kg, the Cameroonian Fouodji Arcangeline was ridiculous. She took 14th out of the 17 athletes involved initially in the category of 69 kg.

Atangana Mballa will be on spot this Thursday, August 11, 2016 in judo competition in the under-78 kg category and also the boxer Smaila Mahaman who will enter the ring for his first fight in the super lightweight against the Turkish Batuhan Gozgec.

Since the official opening of the 2016 Olympic Games on Friday, August 5th, Team Cameroon has one win against six defeats.
