The Tchebe-Tchebe village no longer has a single inhabitant.

It’s a real tragedy experienced by the Tchebe-Tchebe village. This village located at Moskota near the border with Nigeria is now depopulated. L’Œil du Sahel of 28 July 2016 indicates that the last inhabitants of this village were killed on the night of July 25 to 26, 2016.

Repetitive attacks of Boko Haram in the area forced the villagers to move. Except Parahod Douvagui. This sexagenarian had decided to stay. It was his way of standing up to the terrorist group. Insurgents have therefore ended his days.

On the night of July 25 to 26, 2016, before such resistance, the terrorists returned to Tchebe-Tchebe and beheaded the brave man. With the death of its last occupant, Tchebe-Tchebe is now an empty village, without a soul, “says the newspaper.

In the same vein, the bi-weekly reveals that there is a resurgence of terrorist attacks in the city of Kolofata. For example, tells Tchamaya, president of the vigilante committee of the town, the terrorists tried to hit on 24 July. “The terrorists entered the town and some headed to my home to deal with me. Fortunately, I met them on my path and I ran away as they were armed and that I did not have a weapon. They shot me, thank you God, I was able to get out, “he said.

Faced with this situation, new safety measures have yet been taken noted the newspaper. “Thus, since the day of 25 July 2016, the town of Kolofata has virtually closed on itself. All inlets and outlets are controlled and population movements have been severely restricted.
