The inmates of the central prison of Douala will be transported from their place of detention to other locations in much better conditions. Six new vehicles including three trucks have just been delivered to the unique penitentiary of the economic capital. It helps renovate a fleet that had become dilapidated. The three new trucks are designed conventionally, with air conditioning to their cabins.
They are also well covered and protect the inmates from the weather. The manager of the New Bell prison was pleased that the new acquisitions improve the conditions of prisoners. “These vehicles will help transport the detainees to ferry in conditions that respect human dignity, it will also serve to ease the transportation of personnel,” said Dieudonné Engonga Mintsang.
